Google is pretty amazing. There is so much it can do. There is so much information it can pull up when you type in a simple word or phrase. You can also make it so your search is more advanced. The tools Google has would be a good thing you could teach your students. Helping them learn how to search better and use Google for more than just looking up junk. As a teacher I need to teach my students to be responsible while searching on Google because it pulls up a lot of garbage. If they don't have a good calculator they can use Google. Another thing I like is how you can translate languages. So if you come across something in a different language you can change it to English. I like to talk to my brother doing this because he speaks Mandarin Chinese. I can type something in English and it will change it into Chinese for me. It does a pretty good job, my brother said. So I can say Instructional Media is a helpful class and in Chinese it would be 教學媒體是一個有用的類.
That is pretty amazing.
Tools are there to help us, but sometimes we need to learn how to use them.

Video reflection- The machine is us
After having watched the video "The machine is us" it brings some different thoughts to mind. How is the world changing with the web and with text? You can get an idea across much quicker with a computer and typing than you can writing with your hand. You can find information much faster. Anyone can publish on the internet. What does this mean to me as a future teacher? Well to me it means a couple of things. We need to teach our students how to find correct information on the web. We need to teach them to realize that what they find on the web is not always true. We need to teach them how to responsibly use the web. The web is a great tool, but it is one that needs to be handled with great care and with knowledge of how to use it to find true information.
